The MGN12 Linear Rail Precision Motion Kit is a complete Y-axis upgrade for the Creality Ender 3 S1 and Ender 3 S1 Pro.
Linear rails (or guides) are the preferred choice for many industrial applications. Manufactured to tight tolerances, they offer superior performance with greater precision and accuracy. The rigid stainless steel rails allow little to no flex, and with proper lubrication, the 3/32" ball bearings are remarkably smooth and quiet.
To introduce rail compatibility on the S1 series, we've developed a complete Y axis upgrade which replaces the original closed face extrusion. At the core of this product is our custom Baux Bar, a 2mm thick aluminum beam which supports multiple linear rail configurations. Factory anodized black, it seamlessly matches the S1's aesthetic and appears as though it were stock part.

The MGN12 Precision Motion Kit offers two possible linear rail configurations.
The standard choice is a single MGN12 linear rail, centered on the Baux Bar for equal weight distribution. This provides excellent stability and maximum performance, where minimal preload allows the bed assembly to move freely. This is our recommendation for most S1 and S1 Pro 3D printers.
Adding a second MGN12 linear rail is optional (not included). Mounted in parallel, the weight is distributed across a wider distance for even greater stability, ideal for heavier cast aluminum heated beds and / or glass plates. However, dual rails require precise alignment or they can introduce binding and impede the movement.
