COVID-19 Information and Shipping Updates
Through out the COVID-19 crisis, Gulfcoast Robotics has remained open and continued to ship all orders on a daily basis. However, from manufacturing to shipping, the entire global supply chain has been saturated since March.
Due to a surge in sales during this time, many items have frequently been sold out over the last 6 weeks. We continue to restock our inventory as often as possible, but production cost and lead times have increased as a result.
Our sales and support department is also experiencing a similarly high volume of e-mails. We're doing our best to promptly respond to all messages, prioritized in the order that they were received. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding with unexpected delays.
Domestic Shipments (USPS)
The latest Operations Update from USPS (4/17/2020) states that the standard shipping window has increased for the foreseeable future. First Class and Priority Mail now have an estimated delivery time of 3-4 days.
In our experience, the majority of domestic shipments are still arriving within this time frame. Unfortunately, certain USPS distribution centers and post offices around the country are severely backlogged, sometimes taking days/weeks to process incoming and outgoing parcels. Despite previous attempts to do so, we are unable to expedite these shipments.
Please note, delayed shipping estimates are not reflected at checkout. These are pulled from the USPS website and cannot be changed from our end.
International Shipments (UPS)
As of May 8th, we have temporarily switched to UPS for international shipments.
USPS is a far more affordable option, but uses extra cargo space on commercial flights for global transport. Most of these planes have since been grounded, meaning international shipments are taking anywhere from 2-4 weeks to arrive.
Although UPS has suspended service guarantees, shipments are generally still arriving within 2-5 business days (depending on the service used).
