The 3-Point Heated Bed Upgrade is designed for the Creality CR10, Ender 3 Max, Ender 3 S1 Plus and other similar 3D printers (check dimensions to confirm fitment). The 310x310mm build plate is precision CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, providing a flat and level print surface with tight flatness tolerances of +/- 0.2mm.
Paired with our high powered 110V 800W Silicone Heater, the bed reaches temperatures in a fraction of the time. It's made from high quality US silicone, includes an industry standard 100K NTC3950 thermistor, and feature our integrated thermal protection switch configured to 150C. A preventative safety mechanism that prevents thermal runaway, shutting off power to the bed in the event of failure.
Disclaimer: AC heaters require a solid state relay (SSR) purchased separately. Mains electricity is high voltage and extremely dangerous. Please consult with a professional. Gulfcoast Robotics is not liable for any damage or injuries sustained from the use of this product.
- Brushed aluminum finish with scratch resistant anodized coating.
- Countersunk hole patterns are included for both 3-point and 4-point leveling configurations.
- Flatness tolerance of +/- 0.2mm for a truly level build surface.
The bed plate is about 1/8" thick and very straight. Using a machinist straightedge I can't see any bends or pits. Once the magnet, steel, PEI and 2 sheets of adhesive are installed, I only show about 0.2mm variation with a 15x15 mesh in Klipper on an S1 Plus. With 5 layers, I doubt it gets much better than that. Stock bed stack was about 0.9mm and shaped like a bowl.
The thermistor works great in Klipper with "sensor_type: Generic 3950". That also works well for the Creality hotend.
The 110v heater is well worth the hassle! I understand the seller not giving detailed instructions as it could be a liability I guess, but it would make it more difficult for people less familiar with electricity. Most any diagram for an SSR should give you what you need. If you ask around in 3D printing groups, there will be people that can help. Don't forget to PID tune after changing the bed.
I bought this bed on a whim hoping it would fit the ender s1 plus and turns out it is an exact match. What a difference having a bed that isn't a taco. The best part is the 110v heater. The factory bed took so long to heat up. This thing takes just a few seconds. Top quality from gulfcoast as always!
