The MGN12 Linear Rail Precision Motion Kit upgrades the X axis motion system on the Creality Ender 3 S1, S1 Pro and S1 Plus 3D printers.

Traditionally used for industrial applications, linear rails are manufactured with tight tolerances, offering high rigidity, low friction and precision accuracy. In short, they are less prone to flex during use. When it comes to 3D printers, this ultimately means smooth and consistent movement that reduces, if not eliminates print defects on that particular axis.

The kit features our 4mm thick tempered aluminum back plate and adapter bracket, anodized black to seamlessly match the Ender 3 S1. Rather than replace the X axis, these bolt-on to the existing frame, providing a sturdy, yet lightweight solution to mount the MGN12 linear rail. Best of all, with a form follows function approach, there is absolutely no loss of build volume. The Sprite extruder assembly retains its original positioning to ensure full compatibility with aftermarket parts and printed designs.

Awesome Kit

Installed the X axis on my S1 Pro and noticed noise reduction and smoother movements. I would recommend this kit to anyone who is looking or wondering if they should get it. Do yourself a favor and purchase it, you won't be sorry.

I just installed this on my S1, the install was easy and the instructions were great, An added bonus was the noise reduction on the X-Axis. Would buy again, and will purchase the Y-Axis Kit in the future.

Perfect! Just Need the Z-Axis!

Bought the dual Y-axis rails awhile ago for my S1 pro and now installed the X-axis rail. Followed all the directions, including cleaning the rails with IPA and then greasing them lightly. I used Mobil 1 Synthetic since that is what I had on hand. Everything moves smooth with the Sonic Pad printing at 160ms. No vibrations. Love it! Just need the Z-axis rails!

Absolutely fantastic kit

I am so happy I made this purchase. I had nothing but issues with the crappy wheels on my X-axis and this seemed like a perfect solution. I spoke to a local expert on 3D printers and he recommended Gulf Coast Robotics. I ordered it and had the kit within 3 days.

Installation was very easy. One thing I recommend, soak the rail in IPA and squirt some into the bearings liberally to remove the shipping oils. If you leave the oil on it is a dust magnet and it will cause debris to get into the bearings very quickly causing it to feel rough as it moves on the bearings. After that use a good lithium grease to lube them up.

I took my time installing, putting loc-tite on all the screws and it still took under 20 minutes.

The main issue I had with the wheels was that they seemed to shed some kind of black dust that would collect to the point it would throw off my mesh leveling. I swapped out the wheels and that seemed to fix the issue for a few days, but then it came right back. I am brand new to 3D printing and it was literally a month of tearing my hair out trying to fix these issues as I didn't even know linear rails existed. Once I saw them though I knew they would be the answer to my problems and boy were they. Now when I do a mesh level I find that my bed is actually extremely level, with very small deviations. Before they were much larger, and would actually change almost daily as those crappy wheels shed whatever they were shedding.

Anyway, this kit instantly resolved all of that and even made my machine quieter. Thank you, GCR!

Well thought out system

Bought previous products from gulf coast. This is awesome product just like the other products. . Easy to install. Works great, great value as well. Customer service is by far the best I’ve ever experienced. Will always go to gulf coast for my needs on future printers.

Gulfcoast Robotics ships Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The shipping cut-off time is 11 A.M. Eastern Standard. Orders placed after the cut-off time will be shipped the following business day. All orders are fulfilled by our warehouse located in North Port, Florida (US).

Domestic Orders

Domestic orders are shipped via USPS using the service selected at checkout. Parcels that exceed the First Class weight limit of 15.9 oz will automatically use Priority Mail. Once your package has been processed, a Tracking Number will be provided. The Shipping Confirmation is sent via e-mail and/or SMS alerts, depending on the contact information specified at checkout.
